This Is What You Call HIGH TEA!
Fashion got some drama, and baby—it’s HOT.

In what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest fashion scandals of 2025, Riccardo Tisci—the former creative director of Givenchy and Burberry—is now facing a civil lawsuit for alleged sexual assault. This fashion news just dropped, and trust me, it’s messy.
Who Is Riccardo Tisci?
If you’ve ever paid attention to the runway, you’ve seen his work. Tisci led Givenchy for over a decade, shaping luxury streetwear before taking the reins at Burberry. He’s dressed/worked with celebs like Beyoncé, Jay Z, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian (yes, he did her wedding dress), and has long been called a visionary in the fashion industry.
But now his name is trending for all the wrong reasons.
Breaking Down the Patrick Cooper Lawsuit

According to People, a civil lawsuit was filed on April 29, 2025, in New York by Patrick Cooper, accusing Tisci of:
- Sexual assault Battery False imprisonment Emotional distress Violating the Gender-Motivated Violence Act
Cooper is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages.
What’s Alleged to Have Happened

The lawsuit claims that on June 29, 2024, Tisci and Cooper were at a Harlem restaurant when Tisci allegedly slipped something into Cooper’s drink—without their knowledge or consent.
Once the drug took effect, Cooper says “Tisci brought them back to his home, prevented them from leaving, and allegedly assaulted them while unconscious.
Cooper says “they woke up the next morning naked next to Tisci, with no memory of what happened and no ability to consent”.

Again—these are allegations. No criminal charges have been filed.
Tisci’s Response
Tisci has denied the claims and says he’s ready to clear his name in court.
Fashion Accountability or Another Cover-Up?
I’m not here to say who’s right or wrong—but the truth is, sexual assault allegations in the fashion industry aren’t new. Power gets protected. Victims get ignored—And when big names are involved, people love to look away.
It makes you think: is this the start of real accountability in fashion or just another story that’ll disappear after the next runway show?
Let’s be all the way honest—we watched the whole Balenciaga backlash get swept under the rug 🥴.

So no, I’m not shocked that another luxury label might be tied to controversy. What I am watching for is whether more stories start to surface—Because when it comes to fashion and silence? History speaks for itself.
This may just be the start of a much bigger wave—or maybe it fizzles. Either way, y’all know the deal: if this thing grows legs, I’ll be right here, bright and early, ready to spill the tea.
